Ducks and a Date

It was a chilly week and Anderson was down with a virus, so by the end of it, we were all scratching at the doors. Thankfully, Kim was up for some company and we were able to take the kids to the duck pond. Maizie and Anderson both probably ate more stale bread than the ducks, but it was lots of fun.

Here ducky, ducky!

Cute boy in his overalls.

Just sittin' on the dock of the bay, er, pond.

Yesterday, Jason took Maizie on a Valentine's Day date (little late). I think that's going to be our new tradition. They went to see Alice in Wonderland at the Children's Theater. Jason said it was great, but it was a new experience for Maizie. First of all, it was hard for her to understand that Daddy kept talking about taking her to a "play" but when they got there she couldn't play. When the lights went down, she got a little freaked out and asked if they could go home about every 5 minutes, but somewhere deep down she had fun. I hope. At the very least, she had fun getting dressed up and going out just her and daddy on a special date.

So Happy Together

Well, it's been another long break from the blog world, but Jason has taken the kids on an errand specifically so I could finish up our taxes. I've been trying to file them every day for the past two weeks! But why spend time with Uncle Sam, when I can look at pictures from the last couple of months, right?

Anyway, I noticed that there are alot of pictures of the two of them together lately. We're taking a break from preschool right now. There were many reasons behind that decision, but a big one was that Anderson was getting up to an age where he could actually be a playmate for Maizie. She really enjoys making her brother happy and he loves playing with her. Our biggest "problem" right now is trying to get Maizie to keep her hands to herself on car trips. She's gotten into the habit of playing with his feet and cleaning out the lint from between his toes! Gross, huh? I guess a sister's love goes far...hope you enjoy the pics.

Who needs a pillow when you have a brother?
