The Grind

So, along with Maizie's two front teeth comes a new habit. She's a tooth-grinder. You can tell she's just trying to figure out what in the world is going on inside her mouth, but it's one of the most gut-wrenching sounds I've ever heard.

I was worried she was going to chisel away her newly formed teeth, so I asked Jason to look it up on the internet to calm my fears. What did he find? An article that said tooth-grinding could be a sign that your child has worms. I was already quivering whenever I heard that sound, but after that, I had the added image of parasitic worms crawling throughout my baby's little belly. That will be the last time I ask Jason to look something up to calm my fears.

Well, I called our pediatric nurse today and gave her a good laugh. I guess it could be a sign of worms in older children, but Maizie is truly just figuring out her new teeth and she said it should stop once the teething phase is over. Phew.

Shame on Jason!!!! Sweet Maizie is way to cute for worms...they only live in ugly people, right? :)
Glad to hear she will outgrow the grinding. I think it would drive me crazy too.

I hope you just learned the lesson of not asking your husband and instead calling the nurse first! That one took me awhile, but I got it now.
